This page will give you the listing of the games (and the rules) we run with our horses at the Saddle Club:
Patterns For Games
Cloverleaf: The rider may start the pattern by turning the first barrel to the right, turning the second barrel to the left and turning the third barrel to the left. After finishing the third barrel the rider returns to the finish line. The pattern for turning barrels may be reversed if desired.
Pole Bending: The rider may start on the right side or the left side passing the poles, running in a straight line to the last pole and there, turning the pole and facing the line of poles, pass the successive poles on alternate sides until the beginning pole is reached. Rider should then turn around the first pole and return to the last pole in the same manner (on alternate sides). Upon reaching the last pole again, turn it and return to the finish line in a straight line on the opposite side of the poles from which the event was started.
Texas Barrel Weave: The rider may start on the right or left side passing the first barrel, and passing the second barrel on the alternate side, then returning to the alternate position upon reaching the third barrel. Turn around the third barrel and return to the finish line weaving the barrels in the same manner.
Arena Race. The rider may start on the right or left side circling the barrel and returning to the finish line.

Cloverleaf: Three (3) barrels are to be used in accordance with NBHA specifications.
Pole Bending: The first pole shall be placed 21' from the timing light and each remaining pole shall be placed 21' apart - measuring from pole base to pole base. Six (6) poles are to be used in this game. Poles shall be constructed of PVC measuring at least 1" to 2" in diameter and standing 7' high. Martha Josie poles may be used for this event.
Texas Barrel Weave: Three (3) barrels shall be used. #1 barrel to be placed 21' from the timing light and the remaining barrels to be places 42' apart, measuring from inside bottom to inside bottom.
Arena Race: One barrel to be used. Place the barrel 55 yards from the timing light to the inside bottom edge of the barrel.
